Fire Within took the stage on May 3rd, helping power a day that was never just about the music. It was about showing up for each other.

Behind the scenes, Mike Ferretti-bassist, organizer, and one of the founders of the Maryland Musician's Cancer Fund carried the stress & excitement of the entire event, onto that stage, poured fuel on the Fire -- thumpin' & jumping around like a teenager, rocking the LOONASEA crowd for an hour.

About 10-15 minutes after leaving the stage...Mike was hospital bound after suffering a heart attack.

Thankfully, he's ok, and already planning the next event at time of this submission.

But this day now marks something much bigger for me and my family, and that's why this became my very first submission to MCG ARCHIVES!
